Jackie Saenz is entering her third season as the coach of the Pacific cheerleading program, and is dedicated to building the program into an integral part of the athletic spirit at the University.
Saenz, a 1998 graduate of Pacific, helped to restart the Pacific cheerleading program in 1994 after it had laid dormant after the discontinuation of the football program. During that time, the cheerleading team became a regular presence once again at Pacific basketball games.
Saenz provides the cheerleading squad the presence of a full-time coach and advisor on campus. When not coaching, she is employed as an undergraduate admissions counselor covering the "Big Sky" territory, including Alaska, Montana and Wyoming, the eastern United States, the southern Willamette Valley and central and eastern Oregon.
