Tom Reynolds Field
Directions to Tom Reynolds Field
A home to Pacific University athletic programs for over a century, Tom Reynolds Field has served since 1994 as the home of the Boxers' men's and women's soccer programs.
The field is one of the largest in the Northwest Conference for soccer, measuring 115 yards long by 75 yards wide. It is named for longtime Pacific soccer coach Tom Reynolds, who laid the foundation of Pacific's men's and women's soccer successes in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The NAIA Hall of Fame coach passed away in 1992.
Since its dedication, Tom Reynolds Field has seen its share of championship caliber soccer action. Pacific played host to the NAIA West Regional Men's Soccer Tournament in 1996, and the NCAA Division III West Regional Soccer Tournament in 1998.
Prior to its life as a soccer field, what is now Tom Reynolds Field was the home to Pacific football for 100 years. Formerly known as McCready Field, most of Pacific's outdoor athletic endeavors took place on this site during the first half of the 20th century. Football used the field in the fall and baseball in the spring. Additionally, a cinder track used to circle the grass and tennis courts were located nearby on what is now the site of the School of Physical Therapy.
