ESTACADA, Ore. - The Boxer cross country teams raced at the Lewis & Clark Invitational at McIver State Park on Saturday morning and faced some quality competition.  The field featured seven of the nine Northwest Conference teams along with Division III teams from Colorado (Colorado College) and Minnesota (Carleton College) and one of the best NAIA teams in the country (Southern Oregon).  The women finished seventh with 214 points while the men finished 11th with 264.

The men raced first and were led once again by Riley Stewart (Forest Grove, Ore.)  He finished 39th with a time of 26:44.4.  The other four scorers finished in the same order as Pacific's last race.  Nick Slenning (Portland, Ore.) was 55th in 27:16.9, Kyle Eisenbeis (Bothell, Wash.) was 70th in 27:57.5, Logan Naegeli (Trout Creek, Mont.) was 72nd in 27:59.2 and Garrett Stewart (Forest Grove, Ore.) was 98th in 29:35.0.  The women also has the same scoring five although in a different order than their last race.  Stephenie Spencer (Bothell, Wash.) led the team with her best race of the season finishing 9th in 22:12.8.  Serena Wallace (Centralia, Wash.) was 23rd in 23:02.7, Jess Knoll (Arlee, Mont.) was 62nd in 24:25.6, Elsa Douglass (Portland, Ore.) was 77th in 25:02.7 and Airel Farley (Glide, Ore.) was 91st in 25:40.8.  Personal bests were recorded by Douglass, Farley and by Nick Ungermann (Westlake Village, Calif.) [31:45.4].

The Boxers will race again in two weeks at the Northwest Conference Championships.  The meet will be at Veterans Golf Course in Walla Walla, Wash.
