2-0 win at George Fox completes 3-2 road swing.

Box Score

NEWBERG, ORE. – Grady Bryson (Fr., Montana City, Mont.) contributed to Pacific's first goal, then scored its second as the Boxers snapped a two-game losing streak with a 2-0 win at George Fox.

Bryson's shot off a Patrick Murray (Sr., Hillsboro, Ore.) corner kick in the 35th minute led to a loose ball scramble in the Bruins' goal area, where Devin Shull (So., Seattle, Wash.) took charge and fired in his third goal of the season to put the Boxers up 1-0.

In the second half, Bryson would be the beneficiary of the bounce. This time it was Garrick Knowles (Fr., Roseburg, Ore.) providing the corner service in toward the George Fox goal. Keeper Elliott Davis got a finger on the ball, but deflected it to the head of Bryson, who tallied his first goal of the season in the 63rd minute.

The Boxers had a decisive shot advantage, striking 13 of of their 21 shots in the first half of the match, while limiting George Fox to eight shots.

Michael Summers (So., Beaverton, Ore.) went the distance in goal to record his third win and first career shutout with three saves. Murray led the Boxers with four shots, two on goal, while Brandon Zebarth had three shots for the Bruins and two of their three shots on goal.

The Boxers, who completed a five-game road trip with a 3-2 record, will take Sunday off and return to Lincoln Park Stadium on Friday to play the back half of a home doubleheader under the lights against Linfield at 7:30 p.m.
