SALEM, ORE.—The Boxers needed five minutes and 24 seconds of extra play to score a second goal and claim a victory over the Willamette Bearcats and stay undefeated in the Northwest Conference.

Pacific (8-0-1) claimed an early lead when Kizamu Tsutakawa (Sr., Seattle, Wash.) found the goal from nine yards out off assists by Sean Mills (Sr., Seattle, Wash.) and Taylor Kane (Jr., Portland, Ore.).  The Boxers held a 1-0 lead until the 37th minute when Willamette's (3-5-1) Derek Johnson found the goal from 15 yards out off a pass by Mike McGrew to tie the match at 1-1.

The Boxers outshot Willamette 8-3 in the first half, but the scored was knotted at 1-1 at halftime.

In the second half, Pacific was unable to convert their 9-3 shot advantage into a second goal and goalkeeper Andrew Stevermer (Sr., Gillette, Wyo.) made one save to keep Willamette from scoring. The score remained 1-1 at the completion of regulation time sending the game into overtime.

Pacific's offense came out strong in the overtime period. Mason Nakama (Fr., Honolulu, Hawaii) nearly ended the match when his shot hit the post only four minutes into overtime. Willamette was able to prevent the ball from crossing the goal line. The Boxers kept the Bearcat defense on guard with two more shots before Mike Iacoclucci (Sr., Seattle, Wash.) found the net to end the match. Iacoclucci's goal came 5:24 into the overtime period when he was able to control a loose ball from 15 yards out and score off a Jasem Jaihouni (Sr., Portland, Ore.) assist.

The Boxers outshot Willamette 21-6 in the match and had 12 shots on goal versus the Bearcats two.
