NEWBERG, Ore.— The Pacific men's soccer team prevented the George Fox Bruins from getting a shot off in the first half on the way to a 2-0 shutout.

In the first half, Pacific's (9-1-2) defense prevented George Fox (0-9-1) from getting off a shot while the Boxer offense was able to get off 11 shots. The Bruins goalkeeper, Elliott Davis, made four saves in the first 45 minutes to prevent Pacific from getting on the board to keep the match in a 0-0 tie going into halftime.

The Boxers got on the board in the 57th minute when Jasem Jaihouni (Sr., Portland, Ore.) found the goal off a Mason Nakama (Fr., Honolulu, Hawaii) pass from 15 yards out. Pacific added another goal in the 74th minute when Travis Birrell (Sr., Seattle, Wash.) controlled the ball off Mike Iacolucci's (Sr., Seattle, Wash.) shot rebound and found the net from 12 yards out to give the Boxers a 2-0 lead.

Pacific outshot the Bruins 26-3 in the match and had 12 shots on goal while not allowing George Fox to have any shots on goal.

Iacolucci and Birrell led the Boxers with five shots and three shots on goal apiece. Pacific claimed their fifth shutout of the season with this victory.

The Boxers will return home next Saturday to host Willamette at 2:30 p.m. at Lincoln Park Stadium.
