TACOMA, Wash.— After coming off a three-goal shutout a day before the Boxer offense struggled to get going in the sloppy and rainy conditions against the current Northwest Conference leader, the Puget Sound Loggers.

“It was a rough day and we found it challenging to adjust to the sloppy conditions and physical nature of the game,” said head coach Morgan Crabtree.

Pacific (5-6-1) was outshot by Puget Sound (10-1-1) 21-3 in the match.

In the first half, the Loggers were able to find the net in the 16th minute off the foot of Theresa Henle and again just 14 seconds before halftime by Jenny Moore. Puget Sound took a 2-0 lead into intermission.

The Loggers came out in the second half with a quick goal by Christine Isabella in the 47th minute to give them the 3-0 advantage. Henle and Moore both were able to find the net again in the 64th and 83rd minutes, respectively, to help lead Puget Sound to a 5-0 victory.

Despite having five goals scored on her, Brittany Hartmann (So., Portland, Ore.) made eight saves for the Boxers.

Jordan Bodily (Jr., Eagle, Idaho) tallied two of Pacific's three shots and the only two shots on goal for the Boxers. Tianna Homad (Jr., Seattle, Wash.) recorded the Boxer's one other shot.

“We need to regroup quickly and get ready to bounce back on Wednesday,” Crabtree states.

The Boxers will host the George Fox Bruins in a 7:00 p.m. match at Lincoln Park Stadium on Wednesday.
