FOREST GROVE— The Pacific women's soccer team found themselves in the fourth overtime battle this season, ending for the second time in a tie. The Boxers battled the George Fox Bruins for 110 minutes to a 1-1 tie.

In the 31st minute, Pacific (5-6-2) was able to find the goal first when Jaymie Komo (So., Kailua, Hawaii) netted her first goal of the season off of Jenny Novak (Sr., Dexter, Ore.) and Tianna Homad (Jr., Seattle, Wash.) assists. The goal gave the Boxers a 1-0 advantage that they took into halftime.

In the first half, Pacific outshot George Fox (3-7-3) 11-9 and Brittany Hartmann (So., Portland, Ore.) made three saves to prevent the Bruins from finding the goal.

The Boxer offense lost momentum heading into the second half and was outshot 12-5. The Bruins were able to capitalize on their extra shot attempts to score. Melanie Gaither scored for George Fox unassisted from about five yards out in the 68th minute to tie the match at 1-1. In the final minute, the Bruins had a chance to win the match, but Kristen Cardwell missed wide on her first shot and Hartmann was able to make the save on Cardwell's second shot attempt.

Regulation time ended with the score knotted at 1-1. Hartmann made six saves in the second half.

The first overtime period saw little offense with both teams getting only one shot off, but the Bruins' Esther Harder made the most of their one shot. Six minutes into overtime her shot bounced of the crossbar, but did not find the net, the score remained 1-1.

Pacific's offense outshot George Fox 3-0 in the second overtime period, but could not find the goal to win the match. After 110 minutes of play the match ended in a 1-1 tie.

Hartmann tied her season high with nine saves and Novak led the Boxers with eight shots.
