COOS BAY, Ore.—The Boxers picked up their first win of the year in a dual against Southwestern Oregon Community College (SOCC), 19-6. Five Pacific wrestlers collected wins.

No matches were contended at 125, 133 and 141-pounds, respectively. Nick Bendon gave SOCC an early lead in the 149-pound match when he defeated Devan Silva (Fr., Spokane, Wash.) in a 6-1 decision. From there the Boxers took over.

Kody Kramer (Sr., Oroville, Wash.) defeated Zach Martin in a 4-7 decision at 157-pounds. Nathan Shay (Sr., Gresham, Ore.) followed at the 165-pound weight class defeating Cesar Lira in a 9-3 decision. Caleb Malychewski (Fr., Camas, Wash.) picked up four points for the Boxers defeating Eli Garner in a 10-2 major decision at 174-pounds.

Jordan Branson (Sr., Sheridan, Ore.) won an 8-6 decision at 184-pounds over Jake Rice and Ron Neu (So., Tillamook, Ore.) was the Boxers big winner putting up six points after pinning Bo Younker in two minutes, 42 seconds at 197-pounds

SOCC won the final match of the evening, with Justin Williams defeating Jared Bridgewater in a 7-0 decision at the 285-pound weight class to make the final dual score 19-6.

The Boxers will now travel to Ashland, Ore. to compete against  Southern Oregon on Saturday.
