Boxers Shutout By Cougars
FOREST GROVE—The Pacific men's wrestling team struggled to get anything going against the No. 1 (NJCAA) Clackamas Cougars. The Boxers were shutout 48-0.
The Boxers struggled to push a match into the third round. Jordan Branson (Sr., Sheridan, Ore.), Ron Neu (So., Tillamook, Ore.) and Devan Silva (Fr., Spokane, Wash.) were the three Pacific wrestlers who wrestled out the entire match, but fell in major decisions.
Branson lost to Tarrence Williamas in a 16-6 major decision at 184-pounds, Neu followed at 197-pounds losing a 13-1 major decision to Brett Fredricksen. Silva lost a 13-0 major decision to Billy Goldsberry at 149-pounds.
The Boxers will take the mat in their final home dual next Saturday against Simon Fraser at 7 p.m.
