Pacific's Women Wrestlers Fall Short Against Yaks
FOREST GROVE—With only two matches in the dual, Pacific struggled to overcome the Yakima Valley Yaks and fell 9-0.
Freshmen Jodi Ozaki (Waikoloa, Hawaii) and Andrina Ramos (Kahuku, Hawaii) were the only two Pacific women to compete in the second dual of the year against Yakima Valley. Ramos was quickly pinned in 0:27 by Chel-C Bailey at 112-pounds. Ozaki came up short in the final women's match of the night, losing a 9-5 decision to Ricarda Garcia at the 121-pound weight class.
The women return to the mat on Jan. 29 when they play host to the Boxer Open in the Stoller Center.
