Boxers Open Spring Break With Loss

PASADENA, Calif. – The Pacific women's tennis team dropped a 6-3 match to the Caltech Beavers in the first match of their spring break trip.
The Boxers (2-5) captured one doubles win and two singles wins.
Rachel Mizuno (So., Mililani, Hawaii) and Stephanie Velligas (Sr., Waimanalo, Hawaii) collected the 8-0 victory over Caltech's (5-4) Jessica Yeung and Cici Li at the No. 2 doubles spot.
In singles play, Megan Yoshimoto (Jr., Mililani, Hawaii) claimed a three set win over Jessica Yu 4-6, 6-0, 6-3 at the No. 2 position. Freshman Kelsey Trujillo (Honolulu, Hawaii) picked up her first collegiate singles victory over Alison Parisian 6-4, 6-4 at the No. 6 spot.
The Boxers will Salisbury tomorrow at 9 a.m. in Claremont, Calif.
