Rain Forces Postponement, Venue Change For Menlo Series
ATHERTON, Calif. - Rainy weather in the San Francisco Bay Area has forced the postponement of Pacific's four-game baseball series with Menlo and a change in venue from the school's on-campus facility.
Friday's scheduled 3:30 p.m., game was cancelled and will now be played as part of a doubleheader on Saturday, beginning at 4 p.m. Sunday's single game has now also been turned into a doubleheader, with first pitch scheduled for 11 a.m.
In order to get all four games in, the series has been moved from Wunderlich Field in Atherton to the field at St. Francis High School in nearby Mountain View. Directions from the Menlo campus to the St. Francis Field can be found via the
Menlo Athletics Website.
Steady rain early in the day forced the cancellation of Friday's game. The forecast for Saturday calls for a 70-80 percent chance of rain and a high of 48.
