Pirates Claim Win Over Boxers

SPOKANE, Wash.—In the first conference match after spring break, the Boxers fell 6-3 to Northwest Conference foe Whitworth.
Pacific (5-6, 4-3 NWC) took two singles matches and one doubles match from Whitworth (8-6, 5-2 NWC).
Freshman Troy Zuroske (Richland, Wash.) improved to 7-0 in singles conference play. Zuroske defeated Daniel Redfern 6-4, 6-4 at No. 1 position to stay undefeated.

Derek Cooley (Fr., Vancouver, Wash.) claimed Pacific's second singles win over Colin Barrett at No. 5 spot 1-6, 6-3, 1-0 (11-9).
In doubles play, Zurokse teamed up with Spencer Hing (Jr., Phoenix, Ariz.) defeated Redfern and Barrett at the No. 1 flight 8-5.
The next match for the Boxers will be against Willamette next Friday in Salem, Ore. at 4 p.m.
