Boxers Close Out Season

PORTLAND, Ore.—The Pacific women's tennis team ended their season with the second 5-4 loss to Lewis & Clark in two days.
The Boxers (3-12, 3-9 NWC) picked up one win in doubles play and split the singles wins with the Pioneers (6-8, 6-6 NWC) in the 5-4 loss at LC Tennis Dome.
Traci Mo (Jr., Kapolei, Hawaii) and
Kelsey Trujillo (Fr., Honolulu, Hawaii) teamed up to defeat Olivia Sweetman and Mekena McCluskey 8-4 in the No. 3 position to give the Boxers the only doubles win of the day.
In singles play,
Megan Yoshimoto (Jr., Mililani, Hawaii) defeated Whitney DeBree for the second time in the weekend. She took the three set match 6-1, 5-7, 6-0 at the No. 2 spot. In the No. 4 flight, Trujillo also picked up her second win of the weekend over Jill Coleman 3-6, 7-6 (7-3), 6-4.
Stephanie Velligas (Sr., Waimanalo, Hawaii) closed out her senior season with a win. She beat Olivia Sweetman 6-4, 6-4 at the No. 5 position.
The Boxers ended the season seventh in the Northwest Conference standings.
