WALLA WALLA, Wash.—The Boxers won only one doubles and one singles match in the 7-2 loss to Whitman at Bratton Tennis Center.
After doubles play, Pacific (2-10, 2-7 NWC) found themselves down 2-1 and struggled to get momentum going in singles and were only able to take one singles match from Whitman (9-7, 7-2 NWC).
The No. 3 doubles team of Traci Mo (Jr., Kapolei, Hawaii) and Kelsey Lack (Fr., Grants Pass, Ore.) picked up the first win for the Boxers defeating  Hannah Palkowitz and Lizzy Schiller 8-5.
Rachel Mizuno (So., Mililani, Hawaii) claimed the only Pacific singles victory, beating Kate Kunkel-Patterson in three-sets 6-1, 3-6, 6-2 at the No. 3 position.
Megan Yoshimoto (Jr., Mililani, Hawaii), Lack and Stephanie Velligas (Sr., Waimanalo, Hawaii) also battled in three-set matches before suffering the loss. Yoshimoto fell 6-4, 6-7 (6-8), 6-3 in the No. 2 flight to Elise Otto and Lack lost to Emily Rolston 1-6, 6-2, 6-2 at the No. 4 spot. Velligas dropped the match at the No. 5 spot to Schiller 0-6, 7-6 (7-4), 1-0 (10-5).
The Boxers will travel to Newberg, Ore. on April 8 to play George Fox at 3:30 p.m.
