Quintana Scores Two Goals In Loss To George Fox

NEWBERG, Ore. –
Luis Quintana (Sr., Quilcene, Wash.) scored two goals for the Pacific men's soccer team in 5-3 loss against George Fox in Northwest Conference action at Austin Sports Complex on Saturday afternoon.
Quintana's first goal came in the 38
th minute when
Alex Arrington (So., Portland, Ore.) crossed from the right side on the ground. Quintana placed the ball perfectly between the posts, right down the middle.
The second Quintana goal was off a corner kick from
Grady Bryson (So., Montana City, Mont.) in the 77
th minute.
George Fox opened the scoring in the 13
th minute as Luke Dickens found Luke Hammer, who fired past
Michael Summers (Jr., Beaverton, Ore.)
The Boxers would tie the game in the 31
st minute when
Jorge Mandujano (So., Corneilus, Ore.) crossed from the corner to Bryson. Bryson headed the ball from the right side past Bruin goalkeeper Elliot Davis.
The Bruins would take a 2-1 lead just 22 seconds later when Andre Van der Werff crossed from the right side to find Hammer, who shot to the top of net, his second goal of the match
Less than seven minutes later, Dickens would score for the Bruins to increase their lead to 3-1. Dickens shot to the right corner of the net.
The Bruins would score two insurance goals in the 71
st and 76
th minute to increase the lead to 5-2.
Summers and
Zach Cohen (Jr., Grafton, Calif.) combined for the loss in the net for the Boxers. Summers recorded one save, while Cohen tallied 3. Quintana led the Boxers with his two goals and four shots.
The Boxers (3-9-0, 1-6-0 NWC) plays host to Linfield on Friday evening under the lights at Lincoln Park Stadium. Match begins at 7:00 p.m.
