Jensen, Boxers Start Season Off With Victory Over Wolves

Paige Jensen (Sr., Bemidji, Minn.) led the Pacific women's basketball team as the Boxers started off the season with a 78-30 victory over Walla Walla Thursday evening at the Stoller Center.
Jensen led the Boxers with 12 points (nine in the first half) and five steals. She recorded her five steals in the first half with four in the first three minutes. Jensen also collected five rebounds.
The Boxers started the game with a 15-0 run. Jensen scored the Boxers first points at 19:45.
Alex Pfefferle (Jr., Twin Falls, Idaho) would score at 15:46 before the Wolves would score their first points.
The Boxers went on to another run scoring 8 points to increase the lead to 18.
Kelsey Misseldine (So., Gilbert, Ariz.) hit a jumper at the 10 minute mark. The Boxers ended the first half at 34-12.
The Boxers kept pushing the points in the second half scoring 44.
Olivia Cook (So., Beaverton, Ore.) scored six points.
Anuhea Wall (So., Kealakehua, Hawaii) also scored five in the second half to lead the Boxers to victory.
Heather Hitch (Sr., Enumclaw, Wash.) led the Boxers with eight rebounds.
Kati Sheldon (Jr., Paso Robles, Calif.) was right behind with seven. The Boxers shot 47.7 percent from the field and shot 61.9 percent from the free throw line.
The Boxers tied the least points against record, holding the Wolves to just 30 points. The last time the Boxers held their opponent to 30 points was in the 1978-79 season against Willamette.
The Boxers (1-0) will travel to College Place, Wash. to once again take on the Wolves after Thanksgiving on Sunday, Nov. 25. Tip off will start at 2:00 p.m.
