Tyler Shipley/Rachel Schreiber 2012 NCAA XC Championships
FOREST GROVE - Pacific cross country fans can follow the progress on qualifiers Tyler Shipley (Fr., Forest Grove, Ore.) and Rachel Schreiber (So., Longmont, Colo.) live on Saturday as they run at the 2012 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships.  Men's 8,000-meter race will begin at 8 a.m. Pacific, with the women's 6,000-meter race following at 9 a.m. Pacific.

A live video webcast of the meet is available on the NCAA Website.

Real time results are available through the Rose-Hulman Athletics Website.

Shipley and Schreiber are Pacific's first qualifiers for the NCAA Championships since 2008 and both were the last chosen individual qualifiers from last week's NCAA West Regional Championships in Independence.

Shipley finished in 16th in men's regional race and was the No. 3 runner from the Northwest Conference to cross the finish line.  His time of 24:59.30 makes him just the third runner in Pacific history to run a sub 25-minute time for 8,000 meters, joining Roger Hansen and fellow Forest Grove High School graduate Kellen Peters.  Peters was Pacific's last men's runner to compete at nationals, running in the 2006 NCAA Championships.

Schreiber was the No. 8 individual finisher at the West Regional, finishing 18th with a lifetime best time of 22:03.06.  Her trip was made possible when Pomona-Pitzer's Annie Lydens withdrew from the championship field due to a conflict with a Rhodes Scholarship interview.  Schreiber's time is the fourth fastest in school history.  She is the first Pacific female to run at nationals since Kelsey Owens in 2008.
