FOREST GROVE – A first half goal by Antonio Madeddu (Sr., Milwaukie, Ore.) led the Pacific men's soccer team to record their third shutout 1-0 over Whitman on Saturday afternoon at Lincoln Park Stadium.

The only goal of the match came early after a shot by Quintin Love (Fr., Kailua, Hawaii) and a Pacific foul. In the 12th minute, Nick Calkins (Fr., Hillsboro, Ore.) threw the ball  into Madeddu, who was inside the box. Madeddu fired between the posts to find the back of the net.

The Boxers had many opportunities to score, shooting 16 times with only seven shots on goal. Their best opportunities came in the 71st minute when three Boxers shot back to back to back. Alex Arrington (So., Portland, Ore.) also fired, but was again shutdown by Bathurst.
