Boxers Swim To Another Dual Victory Over Wildcats

FOREST GROVE – After taking it to Willamette yesterday, the Pacific swimming team collected another Northwest Conference dual victory over Linfield on Saturday afternoon at Linfield's Aquatic Center.
 
On the women's side, Amanda Clark claimed first place in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:05.50. Clark picked up her second victory of the dual in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:18.69.
 
Katie Porter (So., McMinnville, Ore.) picked up a second place finish in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:04.57. She also finished in first place in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 54.78. In the women's 200-yard individual medley, Allison Clark (Sr., Keizer, Ore.) led the Boxers with a first place victory, finishing with a time of 2:18.84. Allison Clark claimed her second victory of the night in the 200-yard breaststroke, finishing with a time of 2:33.48.
 
Stacie Struble swam to a first place finish in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:17.60. Kristine Valdez* led the Boxers in the 50-yard freestyle as she picked up a victory with a time of 26.40. Valdez also led the Boxers in the
200-yard backstroke, finishing with a 2:17.05 time.
 
The women finished in second place in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:47.44 and picked up a first and second place finish in the 400-yard medley relay with a time of 4:14.38 and 4:25.95. The women claimed a 129-76 victory over the Wildcats.
 
On the men's side, Paul O'Day started off the Boxers with a second place finish in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:58.25. After breaking a record in yesterday's meet, Gavin Nash (Fr., Cottage Grove, Ore.) picked up a second place finish in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:54.40.
 
Jack Lloyd (Fr., Portland, Ore.) finished in first for the Boxers in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 22.85. Lloyd picked up his second victory in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 49.62. In the 200-individual medley, Michael Hargitt* (Jr., Oregon City, Ore.) finished in first placewith a time of 2:01. 16. Hargitt collected his second victory of the evening in the men's 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:22.41.
 
Kramer Ichimura (So., Mililani, Hawaii) led the Boxers in the 200-yard butterfly, finishing with a time of 2:02.63. He also picked up a second place victory in the 500-yard freestyle (5:03.22). Dylan Cramer (Sr., Caldwell, Idaho) finished in second place for the Boxers in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:04.59.
 
The men's relay teams came in first in the 400-yard medley relay with a time of 3:50.55 and in second in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:35.03. The men claimed a 107-94 victory over the Wildcats.
 
The men improve to 3-4 overall and 2-4 in the Northwest Conference duals. The women improved to a 4-3 overall record and 3-3 in the NWC. Next Saturday, Jan. 26, the Boxers will travel to Lewis & Clark for their final conference dual before the conference championships. First swim is at 1 p.m.
