Boxers Grab Final Dual Against Pios Before Championships

FOREST GROVE – The Pacific swimming team picked up a dual victory against Lewis & Clark, in their final dual before the Northwest Conference Championships at Zehntbauer Swimming Pavilion on Saturday afternoon.
 
On the women's side, Amanda Clark (So., Olympia, Wash.) led the Boxers in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:05.52. She picked up her second first place finish later in the evening with a 5:19.75 finish in the 500-yard freestyle. Kristine Valdez* (Sr., Poulsbo, Wash.) finished in second for the Boxers in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:03.97. She also finished second in the 100-yard backstroke with at ime of 1:02.12.
 
Katie Porter (So., McMinnville, Ore.) collected two victories for the Boxers. She finished the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 25.09 and a time of 55.01 in the 100-yard freestyle. Allison Clark (Sr., Keizer, Ore.) finished first in the 400-yard individual medley with a time of 4:50.09.
 
Stacie Struble (So., Albany, Ore.) finished first in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:02.23. Alex Bing* (Jr., Roseburg, Ore.) led the Boxers in the 100-yard breaststroke with a first place finish with a time of 1:09.87.
 
The women picked up first place victories in both relays. In the 200-yard freestyle relay, the team finished in a time of 1:46.52 and in the 200-yard medley relay, they finished in a time of 1:52.60. The women collected 122 points to Lewis & Clark's 83.
 
On the men's side, Gavin Nash (Fr., Cottage Grove, Ore.) led the Boxers in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a first place finish with a time of 10:23.14. He also finished first in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 55:17. Jack Lloyd (Fr., Portland, Ore.) also picked up two first place finishes. He finished first in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 49.55 and in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:50.08.
 
Spencer Chandler* (So., Weiser, Idaho) picked up the 50-yard freestyle first place finish with a time of 23.53. Michael Hargitt* (Jr., Oregon City, Ore.) finished first in the 400-yard individual medley with a time of 4:23.68. Hargitt also finished second in the 100-yard breststroke with a time of 1:02.34. Dylan Cramer (Sr., Caldwell, Idaho) picked up his usual first place finish in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 56.83. Kramer Ichimura (So., Mililani, Hawaii) collected first in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:02.06.
 
The Boxers picked up first place in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:41.63. The men beat Lewis & Clark 123-72.
 
The women improved to 5-3, 4-3 NWC and the men improved to 4-4, 3-4 NWC. The Boxers will take a week off before they travel to Washington, where Willamette will host the Northwest Conference championships on Feb. 8,9,10.
