Box Score
SALEM, Ore. – The Pacific women's soccer team scored their four goals off seven shots within the first 30 minutes of the match, including the first two goals from
McKenna Davidson (So., Kailua-Kona, Hawaii) to take a 4-2 victory over Willamette in Northwest Conference action on Saturday afternoon at Willamette.
Â
"It's one of those days where you have to look at the game and not the box score to understand how great we were today," said head coach
Morgan Joseph. "We are so excited to have Rachel Pratt back. We executed the practice plan perfectly and then some. Yes, two defensive errors for sure, but those are easily fixed with some experience and willingness to lead from mistakes."
Â
Davidson scored the first two goals in the first four minutes of the match. The first goal came in the 3
rd minute when
Kara Lankey (Fr., La Canada, Calif.) crossed from the left near end line to Davidson. Davidson then shot from six yard out past a diving Bearcat goalkeeper. Her second goal came 25 seconds later as she gained control of the ball and shot from a few yards out after a breakaway.

Â
"We have score 10 away goals in three matches," said associate head coach Dane Joseph. "I think this team has shown beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are good. Kara and McKenna are living football folklore. But the rest of the team are certainly responsible for contributing to their success. Kudos all around."
Â
Willamette (2-9-0, 0-7-0 NWC) scored two goals at the end of the second period to cut the deficit to two, but wasn't enough to outlast the Boxers.
