FOREST GROVE – Ian Farley's (Jr., Spokane, Wash.) second half goal wasn't enough for the Boxers, allowing Willamette to come back and end in a 1-1 draw in Northwest Conference action on Saturday afternoon at Lincoln Park Stadium.

"The team played very well today," said head coach Jim Brazeau. "We created some very good scoring opportunities and are a bit unfortunate not to get the result. The team is looking forward to Linfield tomorrow."

Farley scored just four minutes into the second period. Nick Kaminsky crossed to an open Farley who headed the ball to the back of the net for his eighth goal of the season, past Bearcat goalkeeper Braydon Calder.

Willamette (5-3-1, 1-2-2 NWC) came back later in the second period to tie the game. In the 70th minute and after a Boxer foul inside the box, Trevor Jensen took the penalty kick past Boxers' goalkeeper Zach Cohen.

The Boxers had many chances to score again with their best opportunity in regulation coming in the 73rd minute when Elan Yogi (Fr., Mililani, Hawa) shot, but was save by Calder. The Boxers shot twice in the first overtime period. Jorge Mandujano (Sr., Forest Grove, Ore.) took a shot, but was wide of the goal. Steen Shober (Fr., Missoula, Mont.) also fired, but was way high over the goal.

The Boxers were able to get one shot off in the second overtime period. Quintin Love (So., Kailua, Hawaii) took an opportunity to score, but came up high.

Zach Cohen (Sr., Grafton, Calif.) started and completed his first career game, tallying four saves. Calder was in the goal for the Bearcats, collecting seven saves. Farley led the Boxers with five of the Boxers' 14 shots taken over the course of the game.

The Boxers maintain a 5-5-1 overall record and 0-4-1 in the Northwest Conference. They will play host again tomorrow to rival Linfield. The match will begin at 2:30 p.m. Live stats and live video will be available at goboxers.com.
