Sheller Wins Lone Singles Match In Loss To Pios

PORTLAND, Ore. –
Becky Sheller (Fr., Gresham, Ore.) picked up the Boxers only victory of the day in 8-1 loss to Lewis & Clark in Northwest Conference women's tennis action on Sunday afternoon at Lewis & Clark's Tennis Dome.
Sheller defeated Lewis & Clarks Teresa Grigsby in the No. 6 single flight, winning both sets 6-1.
Synclaire Waldron (So., Modesto, Calif.) suffered a 6-2 and 6-1 loss in the No. 1 singles flight. Do lost her first singles set 6-0 to Lewis & Clark's Isabelle Borris. She came back in the second to score four but wasn't enough in 6-4 second set loss.
Rachel Mizuno (Sr., Mililani, Hawaii) and Waldron teamed up at the No. 1 doubles spot and took a 8-3 loss.
Lillian Do (So., Beaverton, Ore.) and
Francesca Battaglia (Jr., Sherman Oaks, Calif.) suffered a 8-4 loss in the No. 2 doubles position.
The Boxers drop to 0-4 on the season and 0-4 in Northwest Conference action. Next weekend, the Boxers will play host to Linfield on Friday. On Saturday, they travel to play George Fox. Friday's match starts at 3:30 p.m. and Saturday's starts at 11 a.m.
