Boxers Can’t Answer To Solid Pios Play

FOREST GROVE – The Pacific women's tennis team couldn't quite answer back as they suffered a 9-0 loss to Lewis & Clark in Northwest Conference action on Friday afternoon at the Holce Tennis Courts.
 
Synclaire Waldron (So., Modesto, Calif.) could not find a point as she was scoreless in a 6-0, first and second set, loss to Lewis & Clark's Aurora Garrison in the No. 1 singles position. Lillian Do (So., Beaverton, Ore.) played a tough first set, losing only by two, 7-5. She lost her second set to Gillian Lowe from Lewis & Clark 6-1 in the No. 3 singles flight.
 
Becky Sheller (Fr., Gresham, Ore.) suffered a loss for the Boxers. In the first set, Sheller scored three against Lewis and Clark's Isabelle Borris, but couldn't match her six. She lost the second set 6-1.
 
The Boxers lost all three doubles matches. Rachel Mizuno (Sr., Mililani, Hawaii) teamed up with Waldron in the No. 1 flight, suffering a 8-3 loss. The duo, Sheller and Do, suffer an 8-4 loss in the No. 2 flight and Kelsey Lack (Jr., Grants Pass, Ore.) and Amber Craviotto (So., Eugene, Ore.) suffered a 8-1 loss in the No. 3 spot.
 
The Boxers will take Saturday off to travel to eastern Washington. They will play Whitworth in more Northwest Conference action. The match begins at 10 a.m.
