Hurdlers & Harriers Hoist Season Bests At Oregon Preview

EUGENE, Ore. – A select group of Pacific distance runners and hurdlers ran to season best times Saturday at the Oregon Preview, held at Hayward Field.
Rachel Schreiber (So., Longmont, Colo.), the lone Pacific female to gain entry into the field, placed eighth in the second section of the 1,500 meters with a season best of 4:50.97. The mark is the second best in the NWC so far this season and moves the sophomore up to No. 3 on Pacific's all-time list at the distance. Tyler Shipley (Fr., Forest Grove, Ore.) came close to his indoor season best in the men's 3,000 meters, placing 18th in a time of 8:47.84.
Michael Hunker (Sr., Cornelius, Ore.) ran a pair of season best times in both hurdles disciplines. He ran the third best time in the conference this season by placing fourth in the first section of the 400-meter hurdles, finishing in 56.74 seconds. He also was fourth in the second section of the 110-meter hurdles in a season best of 15.73 seconds.
Teammate Daniel Wagner (So., Kailua, Hawaii) placed sixth in the second section of the 400-meter hurdles in a time of 57.75 seconds. That time ranks as the fifth best in the NWC this season.
