LOS ANGELES, Calif. – 
Amber Craviotto (So., Eugene, Ore.) helped the Boxers in singles and doubles, but wasn't enough to come up with a victory in 6-3 loss to No. 20 ranked Occidental in spring break action on Tuesday at the Mckinnon Family Tennis Courts.
 
Craviotto teamed up with 
Kelsey Lack (Jr., Grants Pass, Ore.) in the No. 3 doubles flight and used solid play to take a 8-4 victory over Occidental's Lucy Malloch and Catherine Anderson. Craviotto came up with the Boxers only singles victory later in the day. She won the first set 6-3 and shutout Malloch in the second set 6-0.
 
The Boxers were ahead 2-1 after doubles play as 
Becky Sheller (Fr., Gresham, Ore.) and 
Francesca Battaglia (So., Sherman Oaks, Calif.) won their match 8-4 as the No. 2 doubles flight. The Boxers couldn't keep up in in the first five flights of singles.
 
Battaglia took a 6-0 and 6-2 loss in the No. 1 singles spot. 
Lillian Do (So., Beaverton, Ore.) was shutout in her first set and lost the second set 6-1. 
Carlee Rhodaback (Fr., Albany, Ore.) lost 6-1 and 6-0 in the No. 3 flight. Lack was shutout in both sets at the No. 4 singles positiong and 
Danielle Hunter (So., La Quinta, Calif.), playing her first match in the No. 5 flight, lost 6-1 and 6-2.
 
The Boxers (3-11, 0-10 NWC) will continue their spring break action tomorrow. They will travel to Biola for a match starting at 3:30 p.m.
