Boxers End Season With Loss To Bruins

Lillian Do (So., Beaverton, Ore.) led the Pacific women's tennis team, collecting two victories in singles and doubles in 6-3 loss to George Fox to end the 2013 campaign at the Holce Tennis Courts on Friday.
Do teamed up with
Becky Sheller (Fr., Gresham, Ore.) to take a 1-0 lead against the Bruins. They took the match 8-1. George Fox took the next two matches as
Rachel Mizuno (Sr., Mililani, Hawaii) and
Synclaire Waldron (So., Modesto, Calif.) suffered an 8-6 loss in the No. 1 doubles spot.
Amber Craviotto (So., Eugene, Ore.) and
Kelsey Lack (Jr., Grants Pass, Ore.) suffered an 8-3 loss as the No. 3 doubles flight.
Do also came up big in singles, winning 6-2 and 6-0 against Alissandra Wittrig in the No. 4 singles flight. Waldron lost 6-4 and 6-2 in the No. 1 spot while Mizuno won the first set 7-5 , but suffered a 6-2 second and third set loss in her final match as a Boxer.
Francesca Battaglia (So., Sherman Oaks, Calif.) suffered a loss in the No. 3 singles spot.
Craviotto was the only other player to score a point for the Boxers. She beat Bethany Nguyen in the No. 6 spot 6-3 and 7-5.
The Boxers ended the 2013 season with a 3-14 record and 0-14 in the Northwest Conference.
