OJAI, Calif. – Lorne Bulling (Fr., Corvallis, Ore.) advanced to the round of 16 in the men's independent college singles Friday, leading Pacific's performances at the Ojai Valley Tennis Tournament in Southern California.

The freshman made up for missing the draw in the Men's Division III West Regional Tournament by winning his round of 32 match in the independent draw, scoring a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Biola's Brandon Chang.  The run ended in the round of 16 as Bulling took a 6-1, 6-2 loss to UC Santa Cruz's Jimmy Soper.

Troy Zuroske (Jr., Richland, Wash.) made his second appearance in the Division III West Regional singles tournament, but would not last to see the second round.  Zuroske lost a tight match with Cal Lutheran's Thomas Millet in the round of 64, forcing a second set tiebreaker before falling 6-2, 7-6 (7-2).

Zuroske and Bulling paired to participate in the Division III West Regional doubles draw as well, taking an 8-4 loss to Alex Johnson and Zhenya Pereverzin of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.

Bulling finishes his season with a 5-8 record in singles and a 4-10 record in doubles.  Zuroske, who earned his third First Team All-Northwest Conference selection late last week, concludes the season with a 10-7 singles record and a 11-7 doubles mark.
