Boxer Dominates Offense, Claims Victory Over Wolves

Nick Rudella and Nick Kaminsky scored goals for the Pacific men's soccer team in both periods to claim a 2-0 victory over Walla Walla (Wash.) on Friday afternoon at Trevor Derrah Field. Â

Rudella, a 2012 Second Team All-Northwest Conference selection and the Boxers leading scorer last season, scored his first goal of the season. Rudella received the ball off a cross from
Garrick Knowles (Jr., Roseburg, Ore.), his first assist on the season, and finished past Walla Walla goalkeeper Craig Nash.

Freshman Kaminsky scored the Boxers second goal, marking his second goal of the season. He received a low-driven pass from
Nick Pinto (Fr., Wilsonville, Ore.) and scored from six-yards out. Pinto's assist marks his second on the season.

The Boxers dominated on offense outshooting the Wolves 19-7, with nine shots on goal. Kaminsky led the Boxers with five shots with Rudella collecting three.

Michael Summers (Sr., Beaverton, Ore.) collected the victory in between the pipes boosting his record to 3-0 on the season. Summers tallied three saves. The Boxers collected a combined shutout as they changed goalies at halftime.
Zach Cohen (Sr., Grafton, Calif.) started the second period for the Boxers. Walla Walla goalkeeper Craig Nash recorded the loss, tallying six saves.
