Marie Rewick (So., Honolulu, Hawaii) and
Hannah Herbert (Jr., Hillsboro, Ore.) all came up with eight kills for Pacific Saturday as the Boxers fell in three sets to Lewis & Clark, 25-17, 25-7, 25-21, in Northwest Conference volleyball action at the Pamplin Sports Center.

Both Rewick and Herbert finished the night with eight kills and eight digs, with Herbert adding two blocks to her total. Bedell added eight kills as the Boxers (5-13, 1-9 NWC) finished the night hitting .126.Â
Jamie Steach (So., Pasco, Wash.) added 16 assists and
Lia Zablan (So., Ewa Beach, Hawaii) had 12 digs.

Isabel Valentine led Lewis & Clark (10-9, 4-6 NWC) with 14 kills and a .480 hitting percentage while Brigitte Russo finished with 10 kills, nine digs and a .714 hitting percentage. Emily Drake finished with 23 assists and Alxe Navarro had 10 digs. The Pioneers finished the night hitting .320 and hit above .300 in two of the three sets.

Lewis & Clark streaked out to an 11-5 lead in the opening set on a kill by Vanessa Hall. The Boxers used a pair of blocks to come back within 11-8, closed to within 17-15 on a kill by
Una Areta (So., Kent, Wash.) and tied the frame at 20-20 on a Pioneers' attack error. L&C put the set out of reach with a four-point run, fueled by two Russo kills, that gave the home team a 25-21 win.

Pacific scored just three points off of their own serve in the second set as the Pioneers opened the frame on a 15-0 run. Pacific committed eight errors in the stretch, including six attack errors, while Valentine contributed three kills before Rewick finally ended the run with a kill at 15-1. Herbert had two of the Boxers' kill in the frame as L&C rolled to the 25-7 victory.

The Pioneers also started the third set on a run, streaking out to the 6-1 lead thanks to a string of four Pacific attack errors. Lewis & Clark made it a 10-point advantage, 17-7, on a set of three kills by Valentine. The Boxers came to life late, winning a string of five rallies off of Rewick's serve before the Pioneers closed out the match.
