Kathleen McIntyre (So., Portland, Ore.) scored the first two goals of her collegiate career Saturday, but Lewis & Clark neutralized the effort with the game-winner in the 102nd minute as the Pioneers beat the Boxers 4-3 in Northwest Conference women's soccer action at Griswold Stadium.

McIntryre scored goals on just the only two shots she took on the afternoon, opening scoring and then bringing Pacific back from a 3-2 deficit to tie it in the 83rd minute. Â The match stayed tied until the 102nd minute when Lewis & Clark's Anna Thorndike scored the game-winner in the second overtime period.

Lewis & Clark (5-2-2, 3-1-1 NWC) outshot Pacific 17-7 on the afternoon, but Pacific proved efficient as all seven of their shots were on goal. The Boxers (4-5-1, 1-2-1 NWC) owned a 4-3 advantage in corner kicks.

McIntyre opened scoring in the 42nd minute, using her head to redirect a pass from
Holly Chang-Northway (So., Eugene, Ore.) into the goal.Â
Sydney Virgen (Fr., Richland, Wash.) made it a 2-0 Pacific lead in the 45th minute, hitting a one-timer from the outside of the 18-yard box that went into the top right corner of the net.

The Pioneers charged back in the second half, scoring three unanswered goals. Megan Ratfield put L&C on the board in the 49th minute, hitting her goal off the back post off an assist by Annelise Coxeff.  Emily Thompson tied the match in the 58th minute, flicking in her shot from three yards out off another crossing pass by Coxeff. Thorndike put the Pioneers up 3-2 in the 82nd minute as she was able to put a slow roller into the lower right-hand corner.

It took just over a minute for McIntryre to hit the equalizer, scoring her second goal of the match as she pulled a ball out a scrum that ensued on a corner kick to tie the match at 3-3. The score held until the 102nd minute when Thorndike hit the game-winner unassisted as she chipped the ball over Pacific goalkeeper

Green dropped to 1-3-0 with the loss, making three saves in the effort. Lewis & Clark goalie Geena Fong made four stops.

Pacific returns to action with a pair of home matches next weekend. The Boxers host Willamette on Saturday and Puget Sound on Sunday. Both matches will kick off at noon.
