ResultsTACOMA, Wash. - Despite falling to Puget Sound on the men's and women's side of Pacific's first dual meet of the Northwest Conference swim season, the Boxers recorded individual victories in over 10 events at the University of Puget Sound on Friday.

The Pacific women fell 105-82, but picked up strong performances from
Amanda Clark (Sr., Olympia, Wash.),
Rachel Webster (So., Normandy Park, Wash.) and
Katie Porter (Sr., McMinnville, Ore.).

After the women's 400-meter medley relay team finished second to open the dual, Clark cruised to victory in the 800-meter freestyle posting a Pacific top-five time of 9:28.90.

Amber Chase (Sr., Tigard, Ore.) and
Janae Sargent (Jr., Redding, Calif.) were the next two Boxers to pick-up points on the women's side as the pair finished second and third, respectively, in the 200-meter freestyle. Porter earned a first place victory in the 50-meter freestyle, before Webster delivered a Pacific top-ten performance in the 200-meter butterfly at 2:32.80.

Porter earned her second individual victory of the evening in the 100-meter freestyle with a time of 1:01.09.

Webster topped the score sheet in the 200-meter breaststroke at 2:53.12, earning the final first place finish of the meet for Pacific's women's side.

On the men's side, Pacific dropped a 104-83 decision to the Loggers as Puget Sound jumped out to an early lead with a top-two finish in the 400-meter medley relay and a victory by Nick Mitchell in the 800-meter freestyle.

Raymond Miller (Fr., Portland, Ore.) scored maximum points for Pacific in his first collegiate dual with a 2:01.67 first-place time in the 200-meter freestyle.

Returning from a year away from the pool,
Jack Lloyd (Jr., Portland, Ore.) swam to one of the top-five fastest times in school history in the 50-meter freestyle with a time of 24.27. Lloyd continued his fast meet with a 53.62 in the 100-meter freestyle, giving him victories in the 50-meter and 100-meter events.

Michael Sakai (Fr., Honolulu, Hawaii) impressed in his collegiate dual debut, winning the 200-meter individual medley, 200-meter butterfly and 200-meter breaststroke.

Pacific's lone relay victory of the night came in the 400-meter freestyle relay as
Spencer Chandler (Sr., Weiser, Idaho),
Patrick Daniels (So., Salem, Ore.), Miller and Lloyd defeated two Puget Sound relay teams with a time of 3:42.88.

The Boxers continue their trip to Washington tomorrow at 11 a.m. against Pacific Lutheran.
