FOREST GROVE - The Boxers head into the week before Christmas looking to respond positively from a 75-58 loss last Friday at Evergreen State.

The Boxers open the week Tuesday at New Hope Christian College in Eugene, with a scheduled at Cordeiro Court set for 5 p.m.

Pacific will then travel to Anchorage, Alaska for the Seawolf Hoops Classic, where the Boxers will meet Alaska and Alaska-Anchorage.

The Boxers and the Alaska Nanooks meet Friday at 6 p.m. inside of the Alaska Airlines Center, before Pacific plays the host Alaska-Anchorage Seawolves on Saturday at 8 p.m.

  • The Boxers long stretch of road games, which comes to an end with a home return on Jan. 9, 2015, continues with the 119-mile trip to New Hope Christian College on Tuesday. The Boxers will then travel nearly 2,500 miles to the University of Alaska-Anchorage for the Seawolf Hoops Classic on Friday and Saturday. In total the Boxers will have traveled nearly 5,937 miles from Dec. 1, 2014 - Jan., 2015.

LAST TIME OUT:
Despite double-digit performances on the offensive end by Nani Ostrom, Olivia Cook and Kyla Siri, the Pacific women's basketball team was unable to overcome Evergreen State at Constantino Recreation Center as the Geoducks emerged with a 75-58 victory over the visiting Boxers.
 
COOK BOOK: A 2014 All-Northwest Conference Honorable Mention selection, Olivia Cook has recorded two double-doubles on the young season against UC Santa Cruz and Carleton. For her career, Cook is sitting on seven double-doubles and 30 double-digit scoring efforts. Cook is sitting on 544 career points and 356 rebounds in her time at Pacific.

CURL-ICUES: After an impressive season Curl opened up her sophomore campaign with a double-double outing. Curl currently leads Pacific (tied with Olivia Cook) in scoring with 12.8 points per game and has reached double-digit scoring 15 times in her young career. Last season, Curl averaged 10.6 points per game and 3.9 rebounds per game. Curl was named Northwest Conference Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Dec. 2-7, 2013. Curl was the last Pacific women's basketball player to earn NWC Student-Athlete of the Week honors and first since Paige Jensen in Dec. of 2012. In her short career, Curl has scored 331 points and grabbed 125 rebounds.
 
THE LAST FRONTIER: Pacific sports three student-athletes on the 2014-15 roster this season from the state of Alaska. Nani Ostrom is in her fourth season at Pacific and has recorded 311 points and 142 rebounds in her career. Ostrom has played in all but three Pacific women's basketball games from the beginning of the 2011 season and recently recorded her career high in points with 17 against Caltech. Abby Jones (Sr., Haines, Alaska) is in her second season as a Boxer after opening her collegiate career at Peninsula, while Pherrari Brumbaugh (Jr., Wasilla, Alaska) is in her first season at Pacific after two years at Peninsula.
