SEGUIN, Texas – Kyle Treadway (Jr., Phoenix, Ore.) threw a gem in his first start of the season Sunday, leading Pacific to the second win on their Texas road trip, a 2-1 victory over Texas Lutheran in baseball action at Katt-Isbel Field.

Treadway threw eight innings of one-run ball, allowing five hits and two walks while striking out seven.  He also batted in the Boxers' winning run in the seventh inning.

The victory was an impressive one for the Boxers against a Texas Lutheran team that is already a quarter through their season.  Pacific improved to 2-1, while the Bulldogs fell to 8-4.

Texas Lutheran opened scoring with a two-out rally in the fourth.  Keaton Bohrmann reached on a double to left field and Kalus Bohrmann drove his brother home with a double to left center field.

Pacific tied the game in the fifth inning.  Nathan Suyematsu (So., Tualatin, Ore.) led off with a single to center field and scored on Donnie Bradley's (Jr., Beaverton, Ore.) triple down the right field line.  It was Bradley's second double in three games.

Ben Duerr (So., Lebanon, Ore.) led off the seventh with a single to center field.  Colin McCusker (Jr., Olympia, Wash.) reached by way of an error and both runners moved up 90 feet on Bradley's ground out.  Walker Olis (So., Burlington, Wash.) walked to load the bases and Treadway's fielder's choice allowed Duerr to score the winning run.

Topher Mood (Sr., St. Helens, Ore.) earned his first save of the season, allowing one hit in the ninth inning.  Reliever Conner Capdau took the loss for Texas Lutheran, allowing the one unearned run in the seventh inning.  Starter Cody Moore allowed just one hit and struck out five in four innings of work.

Five different Pacific players finished with one hit apiece.  The Bohrmanns each had two hits to lead the Bulldogs.

Pacific will complete their five-game Texas road trip on Monday with a doubleheader at Schreiner.
