TACOMA, Wash. – Emily Tesdale's (Fr., Woodland, Wash.) RBI double in seventh inning brought Pacific back from a one-run deficit and Emmie Moser's (So., Mt. Vernon, Wash.) single keyed a four-run eighth Tuesday as Pacific came from behind to beat Puget Sound in extra innings, 6-3, in Northwest Conference softball action at Logger Field.

With the Boxers trailing 2-1, Tesdale, pinch-hitting for Kiera Melton (Jr., Pleasanton, Calif.), poked a two-out double to left center field, scoring Megan Winans (So., Hood River, Ore.) from second.

Moser's single three batters into the eighth inning started a four-run start to the extra frame, the last of which scored on an error.  The Loggers rallied to take one run back in the bottom of the eighth.

Becca Moen (Sr., Gresham, Ore.), Quirena Natividad (So., Waipahu, Hawaii), Kylee Oshiro (Jr., Aiea, Hawaii) and Ashley Mitchell (So., Redmond, Wash.) all had three hits for the Boxers.  Taylor Jones led Puget Sound by going 4 for 5 with a run and two RBIs.

With the win, Pacific improved to 12-8, 7-7 NWC, and snapped a six-game losing streak.  Puget Sound dropped to 1-19, 0-14 NWC.

Puget Sound opened scoring in the second inning when Jones' single to left field scored Marissa Jeffers.  Pacific tied the game in the fourth when Natividad triple to lead off the inning and scored on Moser's sacrifice fly.  The Loggers regained the lead in the home half of the fourth when Olivia Turner walked and then scored on Jones' bunt single.

Winans singled her way aboard with one out.  Shikada sacrificed her to second base before Tesdale, in just her fourth at-bat of the season, doubled to left center field to score Winans.

With Pacific's first two batters reaching base in the eighth, Moser opened scoring with a single that scored Natividad.  Mitchell followed with a double to center field that scored pinch runner Jordan Schmerbauch (Fr., Mililani, Hawaii).  Winans' ground out then scored Moser before Shikada sacrificed and reached on an error, allowing Mitchell home from third.

Jones started the Puget Sound rally in the bottom of the eighth with her single to right field and later scored on Jenica Holt's sacrifice fly.

Sara Aasness (Sr., Kirkland, Wash.) earned her fourth win of the season in relief, allowing one run on five hits with four walks and three strikeouts in 4.1 innings of work.  Jaci Young (1-8) went the distance in the loss for Puget Sound, allowing six runs on six hits with two walks and four strikeouts.

Pacific's scheduled Wednesday doubleheader at Northwest Christian has been cancelled and will not be made up.  The Boxers return to action this weekend with a four-game series at Lewis & Clark.  Doubleheaders will take place Saturday and Sunday at noon.
