California Trip Ends With Loss To Biola

Kelsey Lack (Sr., Grants Pass, Ore.) and
Danielle Hunter (Jr., La Quinta, Calif.) picked up singles victories as Pacific finished their two-match southern California road trip with a 7-2 loss to Biola in women's tennis action at the Biola Tennis Center.

Lack picked up Pacific's (2-8) first victory of the match in the No. 5 flight, scoring a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Lauren Vogel. Hunter finished off the match with a three-set victory over Maura Lopez at No. 6, 6-4, 4-6, 10-7.

Biola (6-12) started the day by sweeping through the doubles matches. In the No. 1 flight, Madeline Heer and Olivia Koelsch scored an 8-4 victory over
Kaitlyn Lomartire (Fr., Portland, Ore.) and
Francesca Battaglia (Jr., Sherman Oaks, Calif.). Kathryn Ashford and Susan Carmichael were 8-1 winners over
Danielle Wicks (So., Phoenix, Ariz.) and Lack at No. 2, while Kelsey Post and Vogel were 8-3 winners over Hunter and
Kelly Flores (Fr., Ewa Beach, Hawaii).

In singles, Kathryn Ashford was a 6-0, 6-0 winner over Lomartire at No. 1. Heer scored a 4-6, 6-3, 10-6 win over Battaglia at No. 2. Carmichael beat Wicks, 6-2, 6-1, at No. 3 while Post was a 6-1, 6-3 winner over Flores.

Pacific returns to Northwest Conference play next weekend, traveling to Tacoma on Friday to play at Pacific Lutheran.
