Box ScoreMcMinnville, Ore. – Despite several strong efforts, the Pacific tennis team was unable to come up with a win Friday against rival Linfield as the Wildcats took a 9-0 victory from the Boxers at the Linfield Tennis Courts. 
In the doubles, the No. 1 team of Kaitlyn Lomaritre (Fr., Portland, Ore.) and Kelsey Lack (Sr., Grants Pass, Ore.) lost 8-5 to Caroline Brigham and Mackenzie Fraser.
Carlee Rhodaback (So., Albany, Ore.) and 
Danielle Wicks (So., Phoenix, Ariz.) took an 8-1 defeat in the No. 2 match at the hands of Kaila Nip and Kelly Watanabe. Danielle Hunter (Sr., La Quinta, Calif.) and 
Esbeida Ramos lost 8-1 to Gretchen Jernstedt and Courtney Mostul at No. 3.
The Boxers were also unable to come up with a win in the singles matches. Lomartire lost a tough match to Brigham 6-4, 6-4, at No. 1. Rhodaback lost to Nip 6-1, 6-2, in the No. 2 flight and Wicks lost to Marisa Kume 6-0, 6-0, at No. 3. 
Lack put up a fight in her No. 4 match, but lost to Jernstedt, 7-5, 6-3. Hunter fell to Fraser in the No. 5 flight, 6-1, 6-0, and Ramos lost 6-0, 6-2 to Mostul at No. 6.
With the team loss, the Boxers fall to 2-11 overall, 0-9 NWC. Linfield is now 10-2, 7-2 NWC and third place in the conference.
The Boxers' next action will be Saturday at home against Willamette in the first of three consecutive home matches to end the regular season for the Boxers.
