Kyle Treadway (Jr., Phoenix, Ore.) threw a four-hit shutout Saturday, leading Pacific to a second game win as the Boxers split a non-conference baseball doubleheader at Chuck Bafaro Stadium.

Treadway, who had lost a number of quality starts over the last month, received some solid offensive support as the Boxers pounded out hits and capitalized on an error to score three runs in the go-ahead seventh inning. Puget Sound won the opener by an 11-6 score.

Nathan Suyematsu (So., Tualatin, Ore.) extended his hitting streak to 15 games with three hits on the afternoon, including two in the opener. Suyematsu had not gone without a hits since the beginning of April.

Justin Strayer (So., Ventura, Calif.) was huge for the Boxers' offense. He finished the day with four hits, three runs and one RBI.

With the split, Pacific improved to 11-26 overall while Puget Sound improved to 16-18.
GAME 1: PUGET SOUND 11, PACIFIC 6At the top of the first inning, the Loggers got on the scoreboard when Jeff Walton's double scored Connor Savage. At the next at-bat, Walton scored a run off a double by Nathan Backes and gave the Loggers a 2-0 lead. Â The Loggers widened their lead in the third when Savage scored off a sacrifice fly by Jeff Walton.

The Boxers finally got on the board in the bottom of the third inning, when
Donnie Bradley (Jr., Beaverton, Ore.) hit a single that scored Suyematsu and tightened the Loggers' lead to 3-1. The Boxers pulled within one in the fourth off a double by
Austin Gallagher (Jr., Lake Oswego, Ore.) that scored Strayer.

In the top of the sixth inning, a sacrifice fly by Christian Carter scored Backes before Addison Melzer scored off a single by Troy Kakugawa, which gave the Loggers a 5-2 lead.

Pacific pulled back to within one in the home half of the sixth. Â
Walker Olis (So., Burlington, Wash.) scored off a single by Gallagher and Treadway came home on a single by
Dan Jaffe (Sr., Las Vegas, Nev). Olis then tied the game in the seventh when he scored on a sacrifice fly by Strayer.

The Loggers put the game away with their six-run eighth inning. Â Savage started the surge when his single that scored Nick Funyak. Â Walton followed with a three-run double that scored Stone, Savage and Chris Zerio. Â Backes then added a long triple to score Walton and Funyak then hit a single that scored Backes to gave the Loggers an 11-5 lead.

Pacific took one run back in the bottom of the eighth when Anthony Hickson (Fr., Pasco, Wash.) scored on a double by
Ben Duerr (So., Lebanon, Ore.).

Kian Kurokawa earned the win for Puget Sound in relief, allowing two runs on five hits with a walk and three strikeouts in 2.2 innings of work.
Colin McCusker (So., Olympia, Wash.) picked up the loss after allowing 11 hits and six runs, five earned in seven innings pitched.
GAME 2: PACIFIC 4, PUGET SOUND 2Pacific jumped on the board first in the nightcap, taking the 1-0 lead when
Matt Hopp (Jr., Portland, Ore.) singled to score Strayer.

The Loggers came back in the top of the fourth inning when Savage scored off a triple by Chris Zerio. Walton followed with a sacrifice fly to score Zerio that give the Loggers a 2-1 lead.

Olis opened the winning sixth inning with a single, advanced to second on Strayer's single up the middle and scored on
Nick Garrett's (So., San Diego, Calif.) single.Â
Ryan Sohn (So., Ventura, Calif.) added a single that scored Strayer before Garrett scored on an errant pickoff throw to third.

Treadway improved to 3-8 on the year in the complete game effort, allowing two unearned runs on four hits with four walks and a strikeout. Collin Maier took the loss for Puget Sound, allowing four runs on eight hits with a walk and three strikeouts in six innings.
