FORT WAYNE, Ind. –
Bailey Martinez (So., Oak Harbor, Wash.) proved a winner for Pacific Saturday as the Boxers dropped a pair of matches at the National Wrestling Coaches Association National Duals in Fort Wayne, Ind.
Martinez scored her victory in the Boxers' match against Lyons College, needing just 39 seconds to pin Jesse Flynn at 155 pounds. With the victory, Martinez improved to a team-best 8-6 on the season.
Wyatt Saling (Fr., White Center, Wash.) earned her first victory in a Pacific singlet as she collected a forfeit victory in the Lyon College match at 170 pounds.
Pacific dropped both matches in the National Duals. Pacific dropped a 29-10 match to Lyon. Earlier in the day, the Boxers suffered a 49-0 shutout to Campbellsville.
The Boxers return to action next action as the men's and women's teams host the Boxer Open on Sunday at the Stoller Center.
