Box ScoreTACOMA, Wash. – A week after dropping a hard-fought match at home to Whitman, Pacific hit the road and came back with a vengeance to score a 9-0 shutout of Puget Sound Saturday in Northwest Conference men's tennis action at the Puget Sound courts.

Pacific (3-1, 2-1 NWC) opened the day with an easy sweep of the doubles.Â
Brennan Faith (So., Redondo Beach, Calif.) and
Grayson Frazier (Sr., La Canada, Calif.) started with an 8-2 win in the No. 1 flight over Andrew Strutzenberg and Joe McRoberts.Â
Clark Wininger (So., San Francisco, Calif.) and
Oscar Wight (Fr., Adelaide, Australia) added an 8-3 win over Daniel Deuel and Connor McDaniel at No. 2.Â
Josh Bernstein (So., Novato, Calif.) and
Reuben Mulhern (So., Boise, Idaho) completed the sweep with an 8-6 win over Chet Selis and Colton Wright at No. 3.

It was the bottom half of the singles ladder that secured the team victory, with Bernstein collecting a 6-0, 6-0 sweep of Abe Noyes at No. 4 while Wight closed it out with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Wright at No. 3. Mulhern posted a 6-1, 6-0 win over Struzenberg at No. 5 while
Jason Voss (Sr., Jamul, Calif.) was a 6-1, 6-1 winner over McDaniel at No. 6.

The Boxers' top two singles players went into super tiebreakers before claiming wins.Â
Giancarlo Battaglia (Sr., Thousand Oaks, Calif.) lost the second set of his No. 1 match with Deuel before dominating in the tiebreaker for the 6-3, 4-6, 10-4 win. Frazier also fell in the second set of his No. 2 match with McRoberts and edged out the hard-fought win, 6-4, 6-4, 13-11.
