PARKLAND, Wash. – After dropping the opener of Saturday's doubleheader at Pacific Lutheran, the Pacific softball team bounced back with a come from behind victory over the Lutes in game two.

Pacific Lutheran picked up a 1-0 victory in game one, while Pacific won 13-9 in eight innings at Pacific Lutheran Field during game two.
Kaitlyn Shikada (Sr., Honolulu, Hawaii) was 2-2 with a double in game one, while
Kylee Oshiro (Sr., Aiea, Hawaii) hit a pair of home runs in the game two victory.

Pacific visits Puget Sound tomorrow for a doubleheader that is set to open at noon.

Game One: Pacific Lutheran 1, Pacific 0Shikada was 2-2 at the plate, while
Marissa Reichard (Jr., Forst Grove, Ore.) struck out four in the game one loss to Pacific Lutheran.

Pacific threatened in the third when Shikada led off the frame with a bunt single, but a fielder's choice erase the lead runner before the Lutes pulled out of the inning unscathed.

Pacific Lutheran got on the board in the fourth when with one out Tori Hamura walked and was replaced on the base paths by Sydney Smythe, who reached third on a Samantha Boelter single and scored on a single up the middle by Amanda Hartley.

Neither team was able to get their offenses going in the remaining two and a half innings as the Lutes escaped game one with a 1-0 victory.

Game Two: Pacific 13, Pacific Lutheran 9 (8 Innings)Oshiro hit two home runs in the Boxers' extra innings victory over the Lutes in game two, while
Kylee Yamamoto (Jr., Mililani, Hawaii) and
Emily Tesdale (So., Woodland, Wash.) also homered for the Boxers.

Pacific Lutheran opened game two with a three-run first inning, but Pacific answered with a run in the top of the second when Oshiro led of the frame with a walk and a stolen base. A single to right by Yamamoto plated Oshiro before the Lutes were able to record three outs and end the inning.

The Lutes' 3-1 lead extended to 4-1 in the second inning, as the Boxers were unable to notch another run until the top of the fourth.

The top of the fourth inning began with an Oshiro groundout that was quickly followed by a solo home run from Yamamoto.

The Lutes added two runs in the sixth and looked to carry a 6-1 lead through the seventh inning and to a victory, but Pacific had other ideas
Megan Winans (Jr., Hood River, Ore.) walked with one out. Winans was replaced on the bases by pinch runner
Caitlyn Ramiscal (Fr., Kapolei, Hawaii), who advanced to second on a
Quirena Natividad (Jr., Waipahu, Hawaii) walk.
Trisha Snydar (Fr., Lynden, Wash.) pinch ran for Ramiscal before
Rachel Roberts (Jr., Oregon City, Ore.) singled to load the bases for Pacific.

Pacific plated two as Shikada singled to score Ramiscal and Snydar to pull Pacific within three of the home side.
Ashley Mitchell (Jr., Redmond, Wash.) doubled to score Roberts before Oshiro ripped a three-run homer to give Pacific an 8-6 lead over the Lutes.

The Lutes notched a pair of runs in the seventh to tie the game at 8-8, but Winans opened the eight with a double for Pacific and was joined on the bases by
Cindy Chan (Fr., Torrance, Calif.), who was hit by a pitch. Tesdale gave the Boxers an 11-8 lead with a pinch-hit three-run homer. After Pacific Lutheran recorded the first out of the inning, Shikada doubled and then advanced to third on a Mitchell ground out.

With two outs and Shikada on third, Oshiro homered for the second time and gave Pacific a 13-8 lead. The Lutes scored once in the bottom of the eight, but Pacific managed to keep the Lutes from scoring more and earned a 13-9 victory.

Five Boxers recorded multi-hit performances in game two, while
Alyssa Burns (Fr., El Dorado Hills, Calif.) earned her fourth victory of the season in a relief appearance.
