FOREST GROVE – For the second-straight night, Pacific topped a conference opponent thanks to a game-winning goal from
Paisley Hiefield as the Boxers topped Whitman 13-3 at Hanson Stadium.

It was Hiefield's (So., Portland, Ore.) teammate who got the scoring started for Pacific as
Amy Mayhugh (Sr., Tigard, Ore.) collected an assist from
Meg Chapman (Jr., Woodinville, Wash.) and put Pacific up 1-0.
Â
Hiefield netted the Boxers' second goal with 17:53 left in the first period, nearly four minutes before Anna Melville struck for Whitman's first score of the night.

Following Melville's tally, Pacific scored four-straight first half goals, starting with a goal from
April Lanz (So., Oregon City, Ore.) off an assist from
Abby Talboy (Jr., Boise, Idaho.)

Hiefield and Lanz scored back-to-back unassisted goals before Hiefield scored the final goal of the half off an assist from Mayhugh, which put Pacific ahead 6-1 at the break.

Lanz assisted on Hiefield's first score of the second half at 27:39 in the second period, before Lucy Skugstad pulled one back for Whitman as she scored the Missionaries second goal of the evening.

Mayhugh responded to Skugstad's goal with two-straight goals, followed by unassisted goals from
Mahea Wong (Jr., Lake Stevens, Wash.) that put Pacific ahead 11-2.

Bea Sheffer netted Whitman's final goal of the night with 14:57 left in regulation.

Lanz put Pacific up by 11 with 1:46 left, before the 10-goal differential was reached at 1:12 in the second half as Hiefield scored her fifth goal of the game on an assist from Chapman.

Hiefield led Pacific with five goals, while Lanz scored four and Mayhugh struck for three. Chapman finished with a pair of assists in the offensive third.

Chapman and Lanz led the Boxers with five ground balls, while Chapman and Wong both caused four turnovers on the night. The school leader in career draw controls, Mayhugh, led Pacific with seven draw controls against the Missionaries.

Adrienne Salzwedel (So., Beaverton, Ore.) finished the night with eight saves as she picked up her 10th win of the season.
