FOREST GROVE, Ore. - Pacific used a balanced attack to get back on the winning track in securing a 25-9, 25-11, 25-12 non-conference victory over New Hope Christian on Wednesday evening at the Stoller Center.
The win gave the Boxers its second victory of the season (2-7) while the Deacons fell to 3-13.
Pacific never trailed in any of the sets. They led by much as 17-3 in the first set, 16-2 in the second and 18-6 in the third.
Hannah Smargiassi and
Ciara Smith led the Boxers with six kills each. 12 different players recorded kills on the night for coach
Kip Yoshimura's team.
Morgan Mendicino zipped in three aces,
Emily Farnham had 19 assists and
Lia Zablan had nine digs.
The Boxers will return to Northwest Conference action this coming Friday (Sept. 25) with a 7 p.m. match at Willamette. They will be back at the Stoller Center on Saturday night to host Pacific Lutheran in a 7 p.m. clash.
