HAVRE, Mont. — For the seventh time this season the Pacific women's basketball team was led in scoring by Sarah Curl, but Curl's 17 points left the Boxers short in a 72-40 loss at the Armory Gymnasium to the Montana State-Northern Skylights.

Curl (Portland, Ore.) finished with 17 points and seven rebounds in the Boxers' lost to the Skylights, who are ranked No. 11 in the NAIA Division I Coaches Poll.

Montana State-Northern led wire-to-wire after opening the game on a 12-0 run. The Boxers' opening basket of the game came with 3:39 left in the opening period when Karli McHone (Glenns Ferry, Idaho) hit a 3-pointer for Pacific. The Boxers only scored two more points in the period before it expired on a 19-5 Skylights lead.

The Boxers battled in the second period, pulling within nine points of the hosts at the 2:57 mark until the Skylights rattled off nine-straight points to close out the period. Montana State-Northern headed to the locker room at halftime with an 18-point 37-19 lead.

The second half continued to go the home sides way as the Skylights lead reached 24 points during the third quarter and dropped to 21 before the fourth period was set to begin. Montana State-Northern ran away in the fourth quarter, stretching the lead to 32 before the final buzzer sounded on the 72-40 Skylights victory.
