Two first half goals would be enough to lead Pacific past George Fox ending six Boxer careers on a high note, beating the Bruins 2-0.
James Curro would get the Boxers (3-11-4, 2-9-3 NWC) on the board early as in the 7th minute, number 7 raced by the defense and curled in a shot far post to beat the Bruins (2-12-4, 1-9-4 NWC) keeper.
The Pacific defense would then remain tough the entire rest of the half not allowing George Fox to get a single shot on goal.
The Bruins would come close as Jackson Keller hit the crossbar in the 34th minute.
Then, late in the first half,
Robert Nurmi would send home a penalty kick with just 3 seconds left in the half. Nurmi's seventh goal of the season doubled the Boxers first half lead.
In the second half, George Fox would get pressure early, as this time Jared McLinnes would head a ball off of the crossbar. Fox would only get one more shot on goal as the Boxer defense held strong all game.
Brock Jones would finish with one save on the Bruins lone shot on goal.
Pacific would get one more clean chance to extend their lead, as Nurmi let loose a laser that was knocked away by the Bruin keeper and
Josh Napoles missed the rebound just wide.
This was the final game of the 2018 Men's Soccer season, and the final game of six Boxers as
Josh Napoles,
Gunnar Swenson,
Eamonn Hartmann,
Maika Enhada,
Shawn Opfer, and
Jake Castanha wrapped up their careers.
