The Pacific women's tennis team ended its season with a 6-3 loss to host Willamette at the Salem Tennis and Swim Club on Sunday.
All three doubles matches were tightly contested with the host Bearcats, winning all three. Among the winners was an 8-6 decision at No. 2 doubles by Sarah Dean and Sylvia Marr over
Sophia Nishimura and
Johanna Wilson.
Nishimura picked up the first win on the day for the Boxers with a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 4 singles. Next wins at No. 3 and 2 singles by the host Bearcats clinched the match for Willamette.
The next winner for Pacific came when
Chantelle Baclay was a 7-6 (8-6), 6-4 winner at No. 1 singles and
Callie Oyama picked up a 6-4, 6-2 win at No. 6 singles for the third win on the day for Pacific.
Three Boxers – Baclay, Oyama and Wilson – each had a team-high five singles wins on the season. The doubles teams of
