Puget Sound scored three runs in the bottom of the eighth to break a 2-2 tie en route to a 5-2 win over the Pacific University baseball team on Sunday.

Trevor Quinn had a career-high three hits and two RBI in the loss to lead the Boxers, who end the season with a 16-24 mark.
Puget Sound (17-23) had eight hits but took advantage of eight walks in the win. Two of the walks came with the bases loaded in the eighth in the win. Ryan Moyes had two of the eight hits to lead the Loggers.
Three Loggers pitchers combined to strike out 10 batters, holding the Boxers to seven hits in the win. Dakota Marley pitched the final 1.1 for the win to improve to 3-0.
Trailing 2-0 in the top of the eighth,
Chase Anderson was hit by a pitch. Then, later in the inning, he moved into scoring position as he stole second. Next,
Joey Galeno hit a RBI single to right field to score Anderson and cut the deficit to 2-1. Then, the Boxers tied it when Quinn hit a double to the gap in left-center field to score a hustling Galeno from first to tie the game.
The Loggers scored three runs on two hits with two outs in its half of the eighth for the win.
