A four-run fourth and six-run fifth inning gave ample support to starting pitcher junior
Sam Lawrence as the Pacific baseball team posted an 11-1 win over Occidental to wrap up the non-conference weekend series on Sunday in Forest Grove.
The Boxers (14-20) had double-digit hits (13) for the 10
th time on the season and scored double-digit runs (11) for the sixth time on the season.

Aaron Alexander had his third multi-hit game of the season and tied a season-high scoring two runs, fellow freshman
Chase Anderson and sophomore
Trevor Quinn each tied a season-high with two hits. Senior
Von Ferguson tied a season-high with two runs scored, plus senior
Dylan Wright had two hits, two runs scored and three RBI in the win.

[pictured] went eight innings, tying a season-high with five strikeouts and allowing one run (earned) en route to the win to improve to 5-3. Senior
Joey Angyus pitched a scoreless ninth to close out the win.

The Tigers (17-13) were led by a two-hit game by Max Sterner, who were limited to just six hits in the contest. Starting pitcher Will Martel pitched 4.2 innings, allowing nine hits, 10 runs (nine earned), walking five and striking out three in a loss.

Next, Pacific will host Whitworth for a three-game series at Chuck Bafaro Stadium as part of Senior Weekend. In addition to honoring its senior class, the Boxers will welcome back its 1968 Northwest Conference Championship baseball team.
